05 — Questions
Straight answers.
Is Evenspan custodial?+
No. Evenspan never holds your funds. Your wallet signs one transaction that goes straight to LI.FI's audited router contract, which executes the swap and bridge on-chain. There are no deposits, accounts or withdrawals.
What exactly do I pay?+
Network gas, whatever the bridges and exchanges on your route charge, and a flat 0.20% Evenspan fee. Each is shown in dollars before you sign, next to the total. We add nothing to the exchange rate.
How is the route chosen?+
For every transfer we compare routes across 36 bridges (Across, Stargate, Relay, Circle CCTP, Mayan and more) and 37 exchanges, then list every quote so you can trade cost against speed. Switch to “Fastest” in settings, or tap a named route.
What happens if a bridge fails halfway?+
Routes either complete or refund. If a destination swap can't fill at your price, you receive the bridged token instead, so the value still arrives. The tracker tells you which of these happened and links to both chains' explorers.
Do I need gas on the destination chain?+
Not between EVM chains. Turn on “Arrive with gas” and a few dollars of the destination chain's native token are delivered with your transfer, so your funds are usable the moment they land. We flag it automatically when your destination wallet has none. On Solana routes, keep a little SOL in the receiving wallet.
